How do you remove a diamond from a tungsten carbide ring?

It is a wedding band with a diamond in it... there are no prongs just a hole all the way through the band with the diamond set in the whole... is there some method to remove it or do you have to break the ring to get it out?|||The ring will have to be broken (actually, shattered) to get the stone out. Which may lead to some damage to your diamond, so be prepared, and take it to a reputable jeweler. If anything, take it back to the jeweler you purchased it from - they can return it to the manufacturer|||since the ring portion is worthless, I would recommend cutting the ring on both sides of the hole. (you wont be able to bend it)

Who ever gave this ring must have been an engineer.....

use a diamond saw (lapidary)..most jewelry repair can dot this work.
