Are there the same pokemon? Help is really appreciated.|||There are a few differences between Diamond and Pearl. The plot of both games is the exact same. The only difference is that the main legendary Pokemon that Team Galactic tries to control in Diamond is Dialga, and the main one in Pearl is Palkia. The difference between the games is the Pokemon in them and the items you can get while excavating underground. In Diamond, you can get Cranidos for the fossil and Dialga for the legendary; Pearl has Shieldon for the fossil and Palkia for the legendary. However, if you have Wi-Fi, you can get the Pokemon exclusive to the other version via the GTS. I suggest getting whatever version your best friends don't have so you can trade exclusive Pokemon back and forth to each other. Hope this helps!
And yes, you can trade all Pokemon back and forth between the two versions. You can only get one Dialga or Palkia through your game's storyline, but if you trade it, you can get another via a friend or Wi-Fi.|||Dialga - Diamond Palkia - Pearl : same plot diff Legends :)

|||even though i have a diamond pearl might be best cause alot of people have diamond so they would want a palkia real bad and probably offer u some major strong and cool pokemon

|||There is also differences between the rate that the wild pokemon appear in diffenrent places, for example, it might be 5% for a starly to appear at the verity lakefront in diamond and 10% in pearl (i made the figures up)

|||The Main difference is what pokemon you get for example you can only get glameow in pokemon pearl. And you can only get Palkia in pokemon pearl and dialga in pokemon diamond.

|||The difference isn't just for cathing Palkia or Dialga, but once you obtain poke radar you can catch different pokemon. Example. Bagon at Fuego Ironworks in Pearl

|||at pokemon diamond u can get dialga and larvitar.. in pokemon pearl u can get palkia and bagon.

|||The diffence is the pokemon you see and (Dailga or Polkia) it depends what you like I preffer Diamond because Dailga,bbut Pearl is good because of Salamence i really want that|||the plot is basicly the same but there are about 20 diff. pokemon in each game(example:there is a bonsly in pearl and not in daimond)|||You find different Pokemon in each one, not just one different Pokemon, my guess is there's about 40 different Pokemon you find in only one of those.
