What is the best way to clean diamond rings?

I have just aquired a new diamond/sapphire ring and would like to keep it sparkling , how can I do this ?|||you can do following to keep your rings:

1. never swimming and take shower with the ring. because the chemicals from water will damage the ring.

2. never clean the ring with toilet paper or any kind of paper. u need a soft leather to clean it if it is needed.

3. if it is dirty, you could put it into a bowl of water , drop a drop of detergent into water. mixed. put the ring inside for 15 to 30 minutes. use a soft brush to brush it. then clean it with clean water. take it out and put it on a pc of toilet paper and let it dry by itself.

4. if there is scratch on the ring, there is no other way, bring it to a jeweler and they have to polish the pc and re-plate it.

i m a jeweler from china. u r welcome to contact me if u have any questions about jewelry.|||Hello,

1 Polish the ring with a clean cloth. This removes any dirt and oil that has built up while you have been wearing it.

2 Place the sapphire ring on top of a towel. Use a commercial fine jewelry cleaner to begin scrubbing the ring. These cleaners typically come with a soft bristled brush that you can use.

3 Clean the entire ring thoroughly. Scrub the prong area, the inside and the outside of the band.

4 Fill a bowl with lukewarm water. Submerge the ring in the water for several minutes to remove all dirt and soap residue.

5 Dry the ring with a soft towel. Return the ring to your finger or place in a cool, dry area for storage.

6 Wash the jewelry cleaner brush. You want to clean the brush before you replace the brush into the cleaning solution.

I hope this helps

Lots of people use at home remedies such as washing up liquid or even leaving the diamond ring in coca-cola overnight to get rid of unwanted stain/marks. Although you should stay away from using chlorine bleach.

If you arent comfortable with a home-remedy there are plenty of specialist cleaning equipment that your can buy specifically for cleaning diamond rings.|||There are 2 ways to clean jewlery.
