What happens if i send a diamond ring in a paper envelope?

What happens if i send a diamond ring in a paper envelope?|||OMG don't do that. The ring will wear a hole in the envelope and fall out. Put the ring in the ring box that it came in, put the ring box in a padded bubble envelope, insure the package and mail it|||Unfortunately we just received an empty envelope from a hotel clerk that sent a necklace my wife left behind. The problem is the automatic address sorting machines. they grab the envelopes and move them along like automatic ball throwing machines. a small hole will form around the ring and it will fall out.|||Unless you pack it sensibly and send it by recorded delivery, then you run the unnecessary risk of it mysteriously disappearing.|||It either gets delivered, lost, or stolen by postal employees
