Does anyone know if any of the testing devices will detect rough uncut diamonds? Going diamond prospecting. If the handheld devices are not ideal, please suggest the best way to detect diamonds in it's rough form.|||I come from a jewelers family, so I can say with assurance that yes, a handheld diamond tester can definitely be used on rough stones.
