How to use black diamond carbon with my fish tank?

I just a black diamond carbon jar and i don't know how to use it if u do please tell me. Also please put as much detail as possibles because its easier to understand|||Take the floss cartridge from your filter, remove the old carbon (there should be some in there already; if not, just fill it up), fill the cartridge half way with the new carbon. Take the cartridge and rinse it under running water until the water is clear, not black/gray. At this point, just add the cartridge back into the filter.





If you don't have specific filter cartridges (which look something like the link I attached*), just rinse the carbon under running water and put it in the filter BEHIND the media (so the flow pushes the carbon against whatever filter floss/foam you use). Black Diamond works great to get rid of smell and clears the water. the first thing is to get a filter bag (sold in any pet store) or you could use pantie hose by cutting the foot off and adding the carbon and tying it in a not. Rinse the carbon well under cold water until all the black dust disappears. you will hear the carbon making a fizzing sound.(that means it has been activated) add to the filter or you could drop it in the tank. Its usually good for about a month. i hope this answers you question.
