What's the difference between Pokemon Diamond and Pokemon Pearl?

I am getting close to finishing Pokemon Pearl (I think I am becoming a fangirl) and wanted to know if it was worth it to get Pokemon Diamond for the DS? Are the story lines the same? Are there only a few tweaks? Are they completely different? Thanks!|||pokemon diamond and pokemon pearl are based on a common storyline, and the only difference is in getting hands on a certain set of pkmn. some like diaga are diamond exclusives, while another some like palkia are pearl exclusives. so definitely, getting a somewhat carbon copy of another game, especially if you dont get it for free, as a gift or something, is not at all worthy.





if you liked the sinnoh adventure and need some change in pace, go for pokemon platinum, which too i wont recommend much.





if you really need something new and different, pokemon heartgold or soulsilver is the best for you, right now in english.





pokemon black and white, an entirely new series, has made its debut in japan and will hit the u.s only next year.|||i finished pearl a while back then played my friends diamond game. they were exactly the same except for different pokemon. its not worth getting it.|||The story lines are extremely similar. No, it's not worth getting Diamond as well, only differences is the mail legendaries and a few other catchable pokemon and fossils.








Get Platinum, you can get both Dialga AND Palkia, there's the Dimension world AND the Battle Fronteir|||Storyline very smilar but pokemon are different and no its not worth gettin diamond but get platinum its more worth getting platinum|||The only thing is the legendarys are different in Diamond you get Dialga and in Pearl you get Palkia. But there are some normal pokemon you can only catch in one of the games. Misdreavous can only be found in the wild in Pokemon Pearl for instance.|||Maybe if you went here. ex. diamond has merkrow (spelling sucks srry) and peal doesn't.|||They're not that different. The story line is the same. But some of the pokemon you catch in the wild are different from the pokemon you catch in pearl. And in diamond you catch dialga and dialga is way better thn palkia in my world. So ya get it. I think diamond is better of course.|||Don't get diamond. It is pretty much the same as Pearl. I would get HeartGold or SoulSilver.

I suggest you get it if you want to complete your Pokedex.





Woo! I'm a fangirl too ^-^ except i've been one since i was like 6.|||There is one major difference between Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. In Diamond the Main Legendary is Dialga and in Pearl the main Legendary is Palkia. Also some pokemon in Pearl you can't get in Diamond and some pokemon in Diamond you can't get in Pearl. So basically, the main legendaries are the only difference in the storyline.
